The Integral Group provided a half day workshop to the Senior Leadership Team at K?piti Coast District Council. The intent of this workshop was to introduce their project management methodology into our council. As likely sponsors of projects, it was important for the management team to understand what information should be documented prior to any project being initiated, and thereafter understand the role of the Project team and the responsibilities of the sponsor. There is a much greater need in Council to ensure that sound project management principles are followed to ensure delivery of not only the multi-million dollar projects, but also the smaller projects that take up the largest portion of Council?s resources. By getting all projects following an appropriate level of project management we expect to deliver more projects on time as stated in the LTCCP.
